A traditional Catholic priest defends the Catholic social theory that the faith was loyal to the founding of this country. He examines and takes issue with the school of thought, as propagated by author Solange Hertz, asserting that the fundamental political philosophy that provided the underpinnings of the United States is Masonic and therefore represents a successful attempt on the part of America’s Founding Fathers to establish a nation antithetical to all Catholic social teaching and intended to be an attack against both the notion of Christ the King as the only legitimate foundation of the state and a repudiation of the most Catholic of all forms of government, a monarchy.
